With over three decades of experience in hospitality and culinary arts education, Dusit Thani College (DTC) stands as Thailand’s first and largest institute specifically dedicated to the field. Renowned for its Bachelor’s programs, DTC has also been offering short course Public Programs in culinary arts and hospitality management for the past decade. However, these offerings have been exclusively in Thai—until now.
Thanks to a stellar partnership with the world’s premier international hospitality sales and marketing association, HSMAI, and the HSMAI Academy, Dusit Thani College is set to bring HSMAI’s globally recognized onsite and online courses to the Thai market. This groundbreaking collaboration will open doors to HSMAI’s entire suite of online programs, facilitate HSMAI-led live training sessions, and nurture valuable connections between HSMAI and Thai hotels. In essence, this alliance aims to elevate the Thai hospitality sector to international standards of knowledge and expertise.
The HSMAI Academy is the crown jewel of hospitality education, offering an exhaustive range of courses in sales, marketing, revenue management, and leadership through various versatile platforms such as online learning experiences, face-to-face workshops, certifications, and qualifications. Tailored for individuals involved in hotel sales, marketing, and revenue management, HSMAI’s courses are crafted to serve everyone from novices to seasoned professionals.
The initial step in this partnership was the launch of a specialized HSMAI hub on the Dusit Thani College website. From this centralized online platform, users can explore the range of HSMAI’s online courses and enroll in programs that are now globally accessible and affordably priced.
Some of the standout courses include:
- Restaurant and Revenue Management
- How to Read an STR Report
- Introduction to Revenue Management
- Introduction to Digital Marketing
Additionally, certificates are available for specific courses in Digital Marketing and Revenue Management.
Stepping it up, the second phase involves co-hosting live training sessions and events. Mark your calendars for the 14th and 15th of October, because HSMAI, Dusit Thani College, and Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel will be offering live courses on:
- How to Create Marketing Content
- Optimising Profit from Your Restaurant
- Building Your Hotel Sales Strategy for 2025
These courses will be conducted in English right in the heart of Bangkok and will feature lectures by international experts from the HSMAI trainer’s network.
“HSMAI leads the world in providing hospitality sales and marketing knowledge, and partnering with Dusit Thani College presents an unparalleled opportunity to bring this expertise to the Thai hospitality industry,” said John Lohr, Executive Director of External Affairs at Dusit Thani College.
“This collaboration stands to benefit professionals immensely, equipping them to meet and exceed global industry benchmark standards. We’re thrilled to team up with Dusit Thani College to expand our presence in Thailand,” added Jackie Douglas, President of HSMAI APAC and Chair of the HSMAI Academy.
“By offering commercial courses in English, we respond to the growing demand for upskilling and cross-skilling within Thai hotel leaders. This partnership will provide the tools hospitality professionals need to boost their performance and drive impressive ROI for the industry.”
Founded in the United States in 1927, HSMAI has over 6,000 members across 35 countries. Dusit Thani College, proudly owned by Dusit International, boasts a rich history of over 30 years in hospitality education, and its alumni network exceeds 10,000.
