The HSMAI Foundation supports industry professionals and students through a series of grant and scholarship programs. The initiatives include an HSMAI certification fee grant program for industry professionals and the Mike Dimond Scholarship for hospitality students.
HSMAI Certification Fee Grants
The Timothy S. Y. Lam Foundation (TSYLF) appreciates the importance of continuing your professional education & advancement through certification. Hospitality certifications increase the value of professionals to their employers, show proof of a comprehensive body of knowledge, & promotes industry standards, practices & ethics.
Mike Dimond Career Success Grants
Two Career Success Grants will be awarded to deserving hospitality students who are enrolled in a degree-seeking hospitality program. This grant was created by the family of HSMAI Hall of Famer Mike Dimond to expand and enhance the development opportunities available to hospitality students interested in careers in commercial strategy.
The Foundation Board of Trustees annually identifies and prioritizes initiatives aligned with this mission that these funds are allocated to. You can support the Foundation by donating to one of several funds.
